Aficionado came together as a reaction to the superclub and powerhouse scene of the 1990’s. Moonboots and Jason Boardman kicked off a series of free parties inspired by the spirit of Ibiza’s open minded dance and chill out culture with a distinct Manchester flavour in 1998. With an open playlist covering a multitude of tempos and musical styles from the 60’s to the current the duo quickly drew a loyal crowd of music lovers who stay with them to this day. The pair have played records across the globe and remain fiercely devoted to the vinyl format working with popular artistes such as Todd Terje who was the surprise guest at their 20th Birthday party last summer
